Caring for your Leather Apple Accessories

THINGS YOU WILL NEED

- 2 x Microfibre cloth
- Cup of boiled water left to cool
- Leather conditioner ( not essential )

MINTAPPLE® Leather goods are built with longevity in mind, they're crucial everyday essentials which can be used without too much concern that they will deteriorate within the first few weeks which is seen from non Genuine Leather goods.

Our Leathers are imported from Italy and some sourced from the UK - Both from tanneries in which we have visited to thoroughly understand the process and maintenance options for each of our leathers.

Leather Apple Watch Band

Your Leather Apple Watch Strap is in direct contact with the skin on a daily basis, and the sweat, body oils, dead skin cells and dust can accumulate on the leather. Not only will this dull the look of the leather, it can make the watch band begin to smell and may even break down the leather itself over a significant amount of time. Cleaning your Leather Apple Watch Band carefully, with the right methods is essential in preserving the integrity of the leather while still removing the dirt and grime.

Firstly, wipe the Leather Apple Watch Band with your first dry microfibre cloth removing the top layer of surface dirt. This removes any surface dust and dirt from the leather and prevents scratching during the cleaning process.

Moisten the same cloth with lukewarm water, it is key that this water was boiled prior to being cooled dow. Add one to two drops of conditioner to the cloth ( if the band is especially dirty ) then proceed to rub the cloth together to create a foam then wipe the watch band gently. Your MINTAPPLE® Leather Apple Watch Strap is built with Genuine Leather on the underside also so clean both sides of the band and dry well. Unlike our Milanese Loop and Link Bracelet Apple Watch Bands which are built from 96% 316L Stainless Steel and need minimal maintenance. Leaving any residual soap will damage the finish.

Tips

  • Your MINTAPPLE. Apple Watch Band is made from Genuine Calf Leather so use a dedicated Leather Conditioner rather than any other chemical based products around the house.

  • Wipe your Leather goods with a dry cloth when you set them down for the night.

Leather AirPod & AirPod Case

Complete the process above with one exception - Do not moisten the inside of your Leather AirPod Case. The inside of the AirPod Case is made with lightweight microfibre and due to the material being inside the case this can extend drying time significantly and overtime damage the installation of this material with the effects being the material failing.

Leather iPhone Case

Complete the process above with one exception - Do not moisten the inside of your  Leather iPhone Case. The inside of the iPhone Case is made with lightweight microfibre and due to the material being inside the case this can extend drying time significantly and overtime damage the installation of this material with the effects being the material failing.
Leather Care tips
As with all leather goods, the nature of leather will mean a natural patina of the leather over the years whilst maintaining the supple textures. Regular cleaning and general care will extend the lifetime of your leather goods whilst ensuing the below is avoided.
  • Avoid long exposure within water, contact with chemicals and direct sunlight for longevity of your leather goods.
